Popular Post loose_axle Posted May 15, 2025 Popular Post Posted May 15, 2025 In case anyone is in the situation I am currently - I live in an apartment and whilst I enjoy the balcony in the summer months, freezing to death trying to smoke a cigar in the winter doesn't appeal to me. I also prefer to smoke indoors when I review or try a cigar I haven't smoked before as I find I pick up on more flavours. That could just be me, I don't know. For ages I'd been waiting to see if Rabbit Air would release into the Australian market but they haven't. I did see on socials/ a few other indoor smokers around the world, using alternate options like Coway or Levoit Core series. Levoit Core appeared in JB Hi Fi and on Amazon AU recently at an introductory price of $100 off retail so I picked one up. I've tested it over 3 weeks now, and here's the results: - Clears smoke brilliantly, if two people are smoking large cigars that last 2-3 hours, the air clears within a minute or two and the area never gets stuffy or ends up with smoke hanging in the air at the end or during the cigar for long periods. - It doesn't remove the odour so much. If you smoke one cigar and that's it, removing ash and cleaning up straight away, the odour is gone the next morning. - If you go on a cigar bender (done for testing purposes) and smoke multiple days/ multiple cigars in a row, it will deal with the smoke just fine. The odour however will linger for 3-4 days and requires candles/ diffuser/ air freshener as well to rehabilitate (once done you'd never know a cigar had been smoked). Noise wise when smoking it will go into overdrive if on automatic or you can let the smoke clear slower by keeping it on a lower constant speed manually. In overdrive its about the noise level of an air con unit at medium. It didn't get in the way of music playing or conversation. You knew it was there but not disrupting. It's also great for frying/ wok use. My kitchen fan is nigh useless and almost always trips the fire alarm when going full blast on the stove top but doesn't happen with this running in the background. I've used it when airbrushing as well and that's been a major help as well with the fumes. So for me, it works, and as I've spent several years trying to find the perfect answer to clearing up indoor smoking and then figuring I'd just try work it out myself, I though I'd share. It's not perfect, but its very good, and you don't have to worry about smoke or odours wafting into common areas or annoying neighbours. 5 3
LordAnubis Posted May 15, 2025 Posted May 15, 2025 Thanks! Plans are in motion for La Casa del Mus and this is a good tip. Does this have a carbon filter? It’s looks pretty much a copy of the Phillips air purifier we have.

SlimJimm Posted February 3 Posted February 3 I’ve had decent luck pairing a strong purifier like the 400S with some light post-smoke cleanup. I crack a window for a few minutes and burn a bit of Palo Santo afterward, and the mix works surprisingly well. I usually grab my sticks and cleansing stuff from nothingbutscents.com, since their scents don’t clash with cigar aromas and help clear the room without leaving it smelling like a perfume shop. 1
