Popular Post wemann Posted Sunday at 09:54 AM Popular Post Posted Sunday at 09:54 AM I had an absolute stonker of an Upmann Connie A this weekend. PSP BRE Jun 19. first stick from the box that I’ve been sitting on for 5 years. Sweet, bakery with a touch of spice that just got richer and richer. So delicious and complex, solid 94-95. Nb: it had one of the thinnest wrappers I’ve ever come across. Like tissue paper. Praying the rest of the box just keep delivering. 5
Popular Post griller Posted Sunday at 02:26 PM Popular Post Posted Sunday at 02:26 PM Got this BR 109 (7.25" x 50mm) from the FOH 2025 Valentines Day Sampler and it impressed me in every way. For one, the 109-style cap delivered a great mouthfeel as I prefer the skinnies. The construction & draw were flawless as well, requiring only one touch up that resulted for me having to put the cigar down for over 5 minutes to handle a potential grilling disaster (grease fires in a smoker can get bad quickly; had to actually deploy a fire extinguisher but that's another story LOL). Anyhow, the BR website suggests pairing this with a "...single malt scotch" but my beverage of choice was a 32oz Miller High Life lager (the "Champaigne of Beers"). I didn't know what to expect but my palate loved the medium body and complexity of flavors that develops throughout the entire smoking experience. Flavors I picked up included hints of milk chocolate, honey, cafe au latte, and a faint sweet creaminess that persisted throughout the smoke. I couldn't find a lot of info about this cigar online (not sure it's in stock anywhere at this time) but it would be worthy of a box purchase depending on per cigar price. Believe there is aging potential in this blend, too. 7
