JohnS Posted April 8 Posted April 8 This new product will surely bring "joy to the heart" for the self-confessed OCD enthusiasts among us... CigarMedics Introducing Commercial Draw Tester, Moisture Meter April 8, 2025 - Charlie Minato CigarMedics—best known for its HumidiMeter and various cigar cutters—has announced two new industrial products to its portfolio. One is the CigarMedics Factory Cigar Draw Tester, which is a draw tester—a machine that measures the resistance of a cigar’s draw—that happens to be quite portable. The company says it can test cigars with or without a wrapper and does not require changing tips between cigars of different sizes or shapes. It comes with an air filter that prevents any loose tobacco from entering the vacuum pump, features a large Dwyer Magnehelic gauge and weighs less than 12 pounds, making it portable. Each Factory Cigar Draw Tester is made-to-order with three- to four-week lead times. There’s also the new Factory Cigar Moisture Meter, a commercial device that measures moisture content levels in cigars. This performs a similar task as the consumer-grade HumidiMeter but has more advanced features including data export via Bluetooth and built-in calibration. The device is used to measure the moisture content inside of a cigar, a scientific approach to determining whether a cigar is properly humidified. The company says Steve Saka of Dunbarton Tobacco & Trust helped develop this product. CigarMedics and Saka previously collaborated on a cigar cutter. CigarMedics says the Factory Cigar Moisture Meter will be available in early May. The company is not disclosing the list price for either item, saying that they are offered with various accessory packages of different prices.
