TOLEDO, Ohio (WTVG) - No one was injured after an accidental fire near a Toledo home Wednesday afternoon, according to Sylvania Township Fire Department.

The fire occurred shortly after 2 p.m. at a home in the 2900 block of Shetland Road.

The fire chief tells 13 Action News that a man was smoking his cigar and set it down on the ground while he was working. The wind then blew the cigar, causing it to spark a fire that burned several dead trees.

Firefighters were able to put out the fire before it spread to the man’s shed.

The fire is being deemed accidental.
