Popular Post djrey Posted March 11 Popular Post Posted March 11 This cigar offers a fairly hard boxed pressed shape. Never was a huge fan of the shape. Construction is perfect revealing an equally perfect draw. Light woodiness and chocolate on the prelight. Cigars starts with notes of dark chocolate, espresso, and black pepper. Body is a solid medium. Lots of dense creamy smoke. The spice mellows revealing caramel, toasted almonds and touch of cinnamon. Cigar chugs along and finishes up much the same. I never found these to be exciting. They are solid performing cigars offering big clouds of creamy chocolate smoke with some pepper/spice. Again a nice cigar but rather boring overall. 88pts. 5

Been a good while since I have had the regular V but I remember it being a bit more aggressive on the spice/pepper blend. Grab a 5 of the Melanio. It's a good cigar and a favorite of many on the forums. 1
Ford2112 Posted March 14 Posted March 14 I feel like both the V and Melanio are on par in general, however the ceiling for me on the Melanio is a bit higher. When on they really are top shelf in flavor. I do prefer the round shape of the V to the box press of the Melanio. They should switch blends. 1
