El Presidente Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Regardless of factory or date, which two cigars do you feel are the most consistent overall in respect to wrapper color and texture, construction, and flavor? Both would be Cohiba's. The Cohiba Siglo III is the standout. Cohiba Robusto would come in second. Where they excel is in the consistency of wrapper and texture. In flavour the Siglo III tops them all as far as consistency but I put that down to the thinner guage. The La Gloria Cubana Medaille D'or No 1 comes in a close third
shrink Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 Can't really argue with your choices, Prez... But I submit Upmann Mag 46.
harwellplant Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 good choices. i would add the dip2 and the rass.
Mel Posted February 8, 2006 Posted February 8, 2006 The Cohiba Marca does have the most consistant wrapper color and quality. I have never seen anything but the same old color on any of the regular release Cohiba. The ELs being the exception. I have to be the copy cat and agree with the prez. Sig III and Robusto are reliable as they come. This is why I will pay the price for Cohiba.

ALB Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 Reckon Vegas Robaina deserves a vote here, all the VRs I've had have been superb, excellent construction & flavours, regardless of size.
spsurfin Posted February 11, 2006 Posted February 11, 2006 I agree with the Siglo III. Another cigar that I have had great results with is the La Punta.
shrink Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 » In all the years I have been smoking I have never had a Cohibe from Cuba. » Unbelievable right? I think having been given so many fakes from friends » and others that I could open a fake cohiba store. Maybe one day I will get » some from Rob. Get what from Rob... more fakes? Nah, send the fakes TO Rob. He can pass 'em off on Ken, and we can all have fun reading his reviews: "Rustic construction, with nose-opening scents of new-mown hay, human hair, and mouse droppings. When ignited, it filled the mouth with fumes of burning kerosene. I was comatose. An easy 95!"
patrick Posted March 5, 2006 Posted March 5, 2006 I would have to go with a VR Famoso. One of my top 5 favorites.
greenpimp Posted March 7, 2006 Posted March 7, 2006 Probably Cohiba robusto, with Mag46 a close second. Construction not quite as consistent in my experience with the HUp, but the flavor's always been there in spades.
