El Presidente Posted January 11 Posted January 11 I get asked regularly to provide some general tasting notes on cigars that come up on Bond Roberts. I feel very uncomfortable giving tasting notes on new releases in order to avoid the appearance of "shilling" + the fact that we all have different tastes. So I am going to rope members in to assist. For those that have smoked them. Body/strength flavour profile legs? overalll thoughts? Not looking for a review. Simply your tasting thoughts 1
Chas.Alpha Posted January 11 Posted January 11 You mean, there are actually people that can afford those? 😳 3
Chibearsv Posted January 11 Posted January 11 They sure look purdy. Never tried them, probably won’t. Maybe if the Vikes get to the SB and Chas. Is elected pope, he’ll buck up for a box to share with his crew 😁 1 1
bmac Posted January 14 Posted January 14 I’ve had these in my cart twice and haven’t pulled the trigger. I’d be interested in any feedback as well.😎
loose_axle Posted February 1 Posted February 1 I grabbed a box last year and smoked my first one last night. It's still very young but I got sweet woody tobacco and almond praline most of the way. There was some scorched almonds and creamy salt at the start as well. It's a rich smoke, no transitions at this stage, and rough towards the very end, but I think that's all due to the youth. 2
ha_banos Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Had one late last year at a tasting. Very, very nice. Lighter end but satisfying. Sample size of 1. Not spending 70£ a stick.
Marco_011t556 Posted February 1 Posted February 1 Overall speaking, a nice one but suggest age 1 more year. A bit salty at first, rich almond, medium body. Burned well. It's worth the price as a gift to others (with the nice box + LCDH). 2
