JohnS Posted December 25, 2024 Posted December 25, 2024 December 25, 2024 - Charlie Minato HALO Cigar Stand Gets New Titanium Finish Kacper Hamilton, a British designer, likes smoking cigars but doesn’t necessarily like using ashtrays. Last year, he collaborated with EGM Cigars, a Swiss retailer, to release his version of a cigar stand called HALO. Now, a year later, HALO is back with a new titanium model. HALO is a circular design that measures 55mm x 55 x 16. There are 16 different slots that separate the 16 raised edges, which vary in size. Last year, the original HALO was released; it was made of solid brass and limited to 100 pieces. There were some revisions made to the 2024 version, it’s raised so that the cigar sits slightly higher. The largest change is that it’s made from a single piece of titanium, meaning that the new version is lighter and won’t patina like the original. It is now on sale at EGM Cigar, priced at $US333.99. The company says it will distribute the HALO to other retailers through its parent company, Chaveta S.A. HALO comes with a two-year warranty. EasternPromises Posted December 26, 2024 Posted December 26, 2024 It definitely looks quite cool but not sure how practical it is or how it obviates the need for an ashtray (unless he just doesn't like resting his cigar on an ashtray but will still ash out in one). 1
