Padrón Black PB-97 Maduro

Stopped in Diebel's Sportsmens Gallery in KCMO, which is a great retailer if you are in the area. They had a few of these left and I had to try one.

Cold Draw - Salty brine and leather notes

1st /3 - Flavor notes black pepper but with sweetness. Not a complex sweetness, just white sugar.

2nd /3 - Pepper flavor moves to a cayenne, but a sweet cayenne.

3rd/3 - Sweetness fades, pepper remains, back to black. Leather notes are clearer without the sweetness.

Score: 86/100

I live in KC and always stop at a Diebels if in the area. Which one did you go to? Nice review. I prefer the 64 if smoking Padron.

Country Club Plaza. Haven't been to the other one but know its near Overland Park (by my Chicagoan level of navigation). Have you been to both? Any difference or any other places worth checking out in KC?

Agreed '64 is the only one I've bought a box of.

I've been to the Plaza location and Leawood store many times. Plaza is a bit nicer. Actually will be 5 mins away in Overland Park tomorrow so will pick up a couple of 64s in Leawood. Next time in town, checkout the Outlaw Cigar Lounge. There is one in Overland Park and North KC. Very nice atmosphere.
