Glad @Çnote took a picture, because I entirely forgot to. I also didn’t capture a great deal of notes, as I was pleasantly distracted by great company.

LCG MdO4. Code is MUR NOV ‘12.

Started off with a good bit of pecan and forest floor. Some clove or anise, and hints of fruit around the edges. Some bright coffee.

Transitioned into some kind of egg-based savory dish, but I couldn’t place my finger on just what. Quiche perhaps, savory and meaty. Quiche with bacon.

Around the midpoint I got notes of fig jam, but that just seems to be what my palate is getting lately from a lot of things. A nice, funky cheese on top of that. Still a fair amount of coffee. The finish is divine. I like skinnies more than @Çnote but I will agree this one is just a little finicky today. Graceful and savory, though.

Heading towards the last third, plum sauce. Plum pudding. All the plums.

This stick ends with notes of mushroom and aged cheese for me, but somewhat covered up by coffee and a slightly spicy cream sauce. I honestly think this thing could age for several more years and be divine. The rest of the box will remain in my wineador basement for awhile. A few might make an appearance, here and there.
