Popular Post frenchkiwi Posted December 3, 2024 Popular Post Posted December 3, 2024 Picked up a couple Picadores singles out of curiosity, in a cigar shop in Italy or Switzerland last year. These had a beautiful "Colorado un poquito Rosado" hue, a good pre-light aroma and can't have been too old as it is a recent addition over at habanos. It also had a vanilla and burnt sugar sweetness that I have only ever associated with young (as in less than 18months from box date) cigars, obviously I could be wrong on that. Had it with coffee. My smoking notes read: - Intense cedar and dark leather on lighting quickly mellows out to include some cane sugar maple syrup, almond salt and spéculoos biscuit - Makes you so greedy on the puff, hard to slow down to avoid turning it into a firecracker -Interesting cedar and café crème aftertaste - Spéculoos taste is spectacular (reminds me of a good Reyes back in the day they were affordable) - Big almond cream coming through sweetness lightening to almond croissant - Peanut flavour coming over the top - Unusually sweet in an excellent way Anyways, as the old saying goes, wish I'd bought more of these ones... 7
