Romeo y Julieta Cedros de Luxe No.2 (CAAug24)

First time trying this one (as you may have noticed, almost all my reviews are when I try something new).

Wrapper looks a bit rustic, darker than the usual Cuban wrappers.

Cold draw is pretty empty.. no taste at all, although the draw itself is good, a bit tight but much better now that it is dryboxed.

First third: bland and empty.. shocked that it barely tastes anything. The only thing I can notice is a bit of salty ceder, pleasant but wayyy to mild for me right now..

Second third: the flavours keep ramping up, more ceder, more cream, although its still very light bodied and I still struggle to find some notes even with a full retrohale.

Last third: same flavours without any development.. if anything, the taste even went down a bit. 

Overall: I can't really say that it was a bad cigar, there were no bad flavors, I know many would've liked it, although it was way too low flavour for me.

Considering that it costs around 20USD, it was a great disappointment. I was expecting something close to the Hoyo Epi no.2, but it was miles away from the Hoyos intense flavour!

Drinking some sparkling water together to try to cleanse my palate after a heavy meal. But I regret it now, feeling like it also took away some of the flavors of the cigar 😅

The cedar. 😂 People usually describe the cedros as creamy cedar, which fits the Epi no.2 taste.

Alright I understand now. Those don't share a lot with HdM, my experience with them matches yours. To me just typical RyJ vibes, which I'm not a fan of.

From that marca I only go for the Cazadores, a favourite of mine 😍
