Popular Post Tunkat92 Posted June 17, 2024 Popular Post Posted June 17, 2024 I decided to smoke a Partagas Churchill from a 50 cab with my father for Fathers Day/His retirement. Initial Thoughts/Cold Draw: The wrappers are very dark and have a nice sweet tobacco aroma. The cigar is very heavy and tightly packed. I had an initial draw concern, but the cold draw revealed a perfectly draw with a hair of resistance. 1/3: Earthy/ forest floor took the main stage. The background was complex with a hint of baking spices, espresso, and occasionally mint. Medium richness and slightly thin smoke. 2/3: Earthiness still had the main stage, but the espresso note was getting more prominent along with a honey sweetness. Occasionally I get a nice graham cracker note. 3/3: The honey graham cracker seems to take the main stage, while the earthiness now settles in the background. I get a nice pleasant black licorice note on the finish. 95+ the construction was perfect, just enough complexity to keep me interested. I enjoyed this cigar from light until it burned my lips. 11
vvvendo1969 Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Thank you for your nice review. Partagas Churchill, great and I feel nostalgic indeed. The ashtray seems to me very beautiful and a cool design...fabulous.
RDB Posted June 17, 2024 Posted June 17, 2024 Fab. Never had one, don’t expect I ever will, but great to hear about your experience. Lovely cigar holder… seems wrong to call something so elegant an ashtray!
