Your CC RPG Party

In the classic RPG Party a la D&D, you needed to have at least two fighters (tank, damage dealer), a thief, a cleric (healer), a wizard and a support.

Let's pretend that you have to pick a Cuban Cigar "RPG Party", you have a little travel humidor and it only has six slots with the following classes:

Robusto (tank): standard frontline "workhorse" cigar. For classification purposes we can say anything 50-55 RG. 

Corona+ (damage dealer): this would include Hermosos No. 4s, Corona Gordas and whatnot. Those in the 46-48 format.

Short (thief): Your short format cigars e.g. HUHC, Party Shorts etc, for those tight spots you only have 30 mins or so. Let's say the cut off is 110mm.

Long (cleric): Anything longer than your standard cigars, your Churchills, Double Coronas, Lanceros etc. Let's say minimum length is 152mm.

Pyramid (Wizard): the No. 2s, the Belicosos etc.

Petit Corona (support): The 40-42RG cigar that can work in almost any situation, for our purposes let's go up to a Corona in this slot, which means you could pick a Monty 3 or a 4.

Right now I'd go like this:

Robusto: RASS - it's edging out PD4 and JL2 for me right now, last one I had showed real complexity. Find myself reaching for Epi2 less these days. Think Boli is better in other sizes.

Corona+: Connie 1 - If it's ever between this and a Mag46, it'll be this for me. Edges out JL1 and Punch Punch or 48. I went through an entire box of Connie 1s in less than a year.

Short: HUHC - I am a bit of an Upmann fanboy, but do enjoy the Party Shorts and RASSC also. For me this slot really comes down to those 3. I'd take them all over Monty 5 or any Perla, but HUHC seems to deliver what no other short smoke can, which is consistent "all killer no filler" for its entire duration.

Long: Sir Winston - yes, I'm taking three Upmanns in the party. Remains the single best cigar I've had. Can't find them at all, but I have a single stick in storage.

Pyramid: BBF - for me the BBF has the edge over all the No 2s. Something about the BBF just clicks with me, for the longest time I didn't get on with pyramids in general but I've learned to cut them 2-3 times. I've had variable Monty 2s. I have a box of Diplo 2s now, prefer my Upmanns in other formats.

PC: Fonseca Cosacos - last one I had first thing in the morning was a straight 95, I consider it the single most underrated CC. Right now I'd take them over PLPC, BoliPC, Party Aristocrats (another fave of mine), Majestics, Monty 4s or any R&J. They seem to do something no other stick can, it's like a pure light toasted tobacco with light sweetness more towards marshmallow or candy floss than chocolate or molasses.
