Popular Post JoeyBones777 Posted June 6, 2024 Popular Post Posted June 6, 2024 I received a 5 pack as a review weekend prize about 3 weeks ago. Keep that in mind for this review. At first light, I got honey and leather. Both fade after the first couple puffs. Mellow flavors of cedar, citrus and sweet bread is what I'm getting in the first third with some leather on the finish. The aroma is fantastic and construction immaculate. Start of the second third and the sweetness is a nice raisin note now to go along with baked bread and citrus. I had to touch up the burn once but construction is still fantastic. Final third, there is light pepper on the tongue, earth, citrus, not much sweetness and the burn started to canoe requiring a touch up. The finish is fairly earthy as well. These haven't rested the full 30 days, with that said, it is a good cigar at an 89 where it stands currently. The experience stepped down a bit in the final third but it didn't fall apart and showed promise. The earthiness took over and crowded out the sweetness in the final third which I hope will rectify in time but even with that being the case the flavors were still decent in the final third. Oftentimes with NC's, the pepper and earth in the final third can get gritty and grip the palate making it unpleasant. That didn't happen here even when the smoke started to get hot at the nub. I can see this gaining a few more points with more time to rest. 5
RDB Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 With a standard Cuban robusto now running to USD25, these are looking pretty compelling. 1

CC prices are way out of hand. It's really sad, especially when it seems like yesterday we could get them for just over $6.
