mohammed.s.almutlaq11 Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 Hello everyone. I was wondering how many people have said and in my experience with cigars, which are more than 10 years, has extreme mild taste and when it comes to double corona first half of it tastes like air. Anyways, I saw some posts online they vacuum plastic bag and they put boveda 62 with cigar to make the taste same after 10 years or they wrap it with plastic food wrap bag. If anyone can advise how can I keep my cigars last that long? I use reaching humidor at 65/65 mon series.
SUP8333 Posted May 28, 2024 Posted May 28, 2024 There is a whole thread on vacuum sealing, I assume that is the best way - take a look!
wjs Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 Has anyone used an inert gas (argon) in the bag before sealing? We use them in the winery to clear oxygen from any head space in the tank for bottling or in the tasting room to slow the oxidative process in open bottles.
Cigarsmoker81 Posted May 30, 2024 Posted May 30, 2024 I’ve the same problem (or blessing) and I’m just letting them age, planning to smoke the ones that don’t age well in the 3-5 range and I’ll see how the rest age. It’s a risk but I’m willing to take it.
