ayedfy Posted February 6 Posted February 6 Cuaba Divinos. Unsure of box code, received in a sampler from a comp win in November 2023. Opening third: butterscotch, digestive biscuits. Very light in body. Doesn’t take long for the peanut butter to come in - as a peanut butter fiend it reminds me of the natural ones without added oils or sugars and just a dash of salt. Slightly spicy edge of fresh nutmeg. Middle third: shifting towards more of a raw nuttiness with a stronger salty character - less peanut butter, more a handful of beet nuts. The sweetness and cereal notes from the opening have disappeared entirely, and in their place some wood and earthiness - cherrywood plus fresh peat. Final third: some cereal sweetness returns, as well as an unexpected bright spearmint note. Peanuts are now in the backseat but still permeating everything still going on. Barnyard and fresh hay towards the back end, plus a reprise of the butterscotch from the very beginning. Wasn’t really sure how to smoke one of these. Lighting that stubby end made for a very slow start until the burn reached the wider part of the cigar. Because of this I didn’t want to comment much on construction feeling I couldn’t accurately judge such things. Weird little cigar this. Has a very distinct character which I found slightly disorientating, but still enjoyable. Like being in a country you know well and wandering around a new city for the first time that has some regional quirks. Didn’t fall in love, wouldn’t rush to travel back, but would happily take a detour through if the opportunity presented itself. 80/100 4

Nice review by the way !Perhaps I got lucky, apart from a couple of relights this actually burned quite evenly with a nice draw. No complaints in that department.
