MoeFOH Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 This reminds me of when Toppa Harley crashed his $30m jet in Hot Shots and said "it's ok, I'm paying it off at 10 bucks a week" Following a "Freedom of Information" request, ABC News learned that the U.S. Marine Corps called 911 to help find a missing F-35 "Lightning II" in September last year. The jet went missing over South Carolina after the pilot was forced to eject. The pilot landed safely in a resident's garden, but the Marine Corps then struggled to locate the $100 million F-35. JohnS Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 A $US100 million F-35 jet going missing is not something you hear about every day, no! 2
Cigar-Therapy Posted January 25, 2024 Posted January 25, 2024 This was right down the road from me. I think the pilot reacted poorly - ejecting too soon. If the plane flew for as long as it did after punching out. 2
ha_banos Posted January 25, 2024 Posted January 25, 2024 It is an entertaining call... "He looks ok. Just a few scratches." "... my back hurts a bit." "I fell about 2,000 feet." "Any reports of a plane crash?" 1
