donaldsutherland Posted January 7, 2024 Posted January 7, 2024 Hey all, Seems like good as time as any to introduce myself to you fine folks. Been lurking for a while. Appreciate the knowledge. I'm not the real Donald Sutherland by the way, figured it was as good an alias as any. I'm a writer and live in California. Used to order a lot of CC from iHavanas, COH, etc. pre-Covid. Much of my stock is still chilling in the wineador taking up mucho space in our laundry room. Took a recent trip to CDMX and brought back a good batch of stuff. Was too nervous to really go all out and buy boxes with customs, and the tax is exorbitant. But really enjoyed my first LCDH visit and snagged some Lusis and Monte #2s, and then a little handful of stuff at Habanos 2000 and at Duty Free. Obviously had to get some rum too, as most of the Mezcals and Tequilas are readily available in the USA. 2

What are your thoughts on the differences? It’s quite good. A little higher ABV (maybe around +8%) but still quite smooth, a bit lighter than the 7 actually and pretty fruity with a bit of oak, I would say better for sipping, seems like it would be a shame to mix. It was aplenty in Mexico - kind of wish I grabbed one more!! 1
