Popular Post Chas.Alpha Posted January 4, 2024 Popular Post Posted January 4, 2024 A custom from my friends @madandana. My 1st trip to the island was 2019 and Alex was at the shop next to the Comodoro. Assuming he was there at this time as well. Beautiful roll! Cold draw is easy. Not much resistance, but I am a slow smoker anyway. Hints of cinnamon? Anything but. This comes out under-medium. Smoky, murky, mushroom/floor. I’m grinning from ear to here! I still have Mike’s cell # and am tempted to call, if not to just curse about the last night’s Vikings game. About the time I put that crazy notion out of my head, the cigar transitions into the cinnamon/spice thing from the cold draw. The draw has proper resistance at this point. This went from RASS to Siglo VI straight into what I remember the 2004-2009 R&J Churchill. If anyone would like to argue that the 00 RJC and the 20 RJC are anything like each other, I’m waiting by the phone. 😀 The old RJ Churchills were smoky, with flavors that I had to tease out. New (post 2014) rely on the cherry aspect. I could be way off base, but let’s face it; it’s my palette not yours! This is old RJ Churchill. Smoky, teasing flavors out of ever puff. 93. If it had a Hamlet draw, 96/97. Thanks @madandana !!! 7 2
