Popular Post Biggerfaster40 Posted December 31, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 31, 2023 I should preface this review by stating that I’m just generally not a big Alec Bradley fan overall. Kinda always leave an AB cigar thinking “almost had it!” Heard about this cigar a while back and knew it had come out a few months back. After a nice day at the shooting range, I decided to give this one a run. Cost: $10Smoke time: 80 minutes Vitola: Robusto 52x5 Prelight - not much going on, little bit of hay on the nose. Tighter draw. First 1/3 - hit it with a nice deep v cut and got to toasting. Virgin puff was surprising and enjoyable. Little earthy, cedar, spice and a little sweetness to boot. Rest of the first 1/3 continued this way. Tiny bit of pepper in retro. Tighter draw stopped this one from having high output smoke. Second 1/3 - more of the same, cedar, earthy, little spice and that lingering sweetness. Retro smoothed right out and retro is really enjoyable. Draw still tighter, no plumes of smoke on this one. Very enjoyable second 1/3 on this Last 1/3 - more of the same, literally no different. Didn’t go filthy on me, but at the same time by the end of this I wasn’t left wanting more. It was just good, not great, not bad. Kinda the feeling when you have a decent steak that could’ve been amazing but you left it on the grill just a minute too long. Final thoughts - much like that old girlfriend you used to have…. There’s nothing quite wrong with this stick, it’s enjoyable, but also forgettable. Also like that old girlfriend, wasn’t too expensive and didn’t waste too much of my time. 6/10 “almost had it!” Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk 7
