Best cigar of 2023?  I've been smoking a lot of NCs these days and well a lot have not been good lol.  One cigar that stood out to me was a HUSW I smoked in Hvar, Croatia this past July.

Now to today's cigar - A little tighter draw than I'd prefer but a few hits with the perfecdraw and it is acceptable.

1 - Starts off with a very bready opening.  Like I'm taking bites of a slightly sweet freshly baked dinner roll.  This is the most dominant flavor of the first third with nuts and floral notes making appearances here and there. Great start!

2 - More bread with a more rich tobacco flavor to it.  Smoke texture is rich and creamy with zero bite in the retro. Towards the end of this third, the bready note disappears for a more rich tobacco and woody-ness

3 - Some cracks appear but it doesn't affect the draw or burn of the cigar.  Maybe a touch up to correct but nothing major. Rich tobacco and the sweet bread comes back into play. Add in some coffee notes to finish up the cigar! 

Overall - 8/10 - Great cigar!  It's been a while since I've enjoyed a cigar so much, but man this was a really good one that occasionally took me back to my trip in Croatia!  I think I only have 1 left of this 1/4 box I got from FOH and think this was the first one that had a more pronounced sweetness to me which I feel my previous SWs have been missing. I do have a full box that's only 1 month younger, so hope those sticks continue to develop in sweetness!  

Looking through my history I think another top cigar I had was a D4, so hopefully I'll have time to smoke one before this review weekend ends.
