The clipped end, not the foot. Never heard anyone else talk about it. On a loose draw just keeping dabbing your tongue to the end of the cigar and testing the draw. Your saliva will cause the filler to slightly expand once moist thus closing up the draw. Obviously, the cigar will still have a loose pack however the draw will be slowed down causing the cigar to burn better. Have yet to find a wind tunnel this method doesn't correct.

I have a box of LeGrande 6X46, but all have been rolled so far with a nice draw resistance. Definitely not wind tunnels. Very nice smooth Nic tobacco, well worth $200/box. Glad I decided to try a box of these.

Is the entire epernay line pretty similar? They have a bunch of vitolas but I only tried the Le Matin and it was very good but that is usually the one everyone points to when mentioning the epernay.

So far I have a box of Le Ferme and Le Grande. Same profile however I find the Le Ferme has a good bit more flavor. Sometimes with the Le Grande I just sit for a while wondering when it will pickup, sometimes it will, sometimes it doesn't. I have to imagine this is an off box or something because others love them, but my box is definitely on the dull side.

Keep in mind this line of cigars were blended to compliment a glass of champagne. That is how they are described. In that case, they would tend to be a milder cigar and not a full flavor powerhouse. Most champagne is delicate on the palate.

Yes, I understand and I think that is why they are so comparable to CC. I wasn't inferring that the Le Ferme was a powerhouse or anything, just that I find a bit more going on. With that said, maybe Le Grande is just a bit too light for my taste.

There is a 5.75X 40 gauge vitola in the line I would like to try. Would be interested to see the difference it would be versus the larger gauges.

Le Elegance. While I do appreciate the larger ring gauges, this one is my favorite of the line. The smaller ring gauge allows a concentration of flavors and the size is just right for my taste.
