Popular Post djrey Posted October 23, 2023 Popular Post Posted October 23, 2023 Another gem from this weekends lineup. Corona Gorda is just a great size. I am always back and forth between these or the no. 2 Robusto. Both are great. Very nice construction on this one. Begins at light-medium body with notes of wood and a light floral component. Windy conditions with this one but the cigar didn't miss a beat and is smoking great. Body picks up to a solid medium as some coffee notes come forward and the wood notes intensify, getting a touch of tannin to them. Pushed about an hour 45 minutes with this one which is impressive with the wind. Cigar fished up more of the same as the middle, which is ok by me as it was very enjoyable. Today the JL2 wins for me. A bit more oomph and usually thicker smoke. Still excellent non the less. 91 pts. 6
