Nudie Lancero 23

It's been a lancero type of weekend for me as my seahawks don't play till Monday and I've time to relax.  

Smoke

#1: Lfd ligero.  score 90

#2  Don Pepin blue. Score 87

#3 Oliva v. Score 91/92

#4 My Father. Score 90

 > smokes that start me down the path of enjoyment get an 80ish score. The ones that begin to take over my attention get 88-93ish. The ones that take over and demand some respect 94-97? Over 97, the chef needs to meet Johnny Depp<

#5 23 Nudie. Building into the mid 90's as i smoke and tap this out.

 

NC smokes usually start out with some sharp flavors that settle and then can get quite good. But to me, the odd thing that's kind of unique to Cuban tobacco is the opening puff starts out, right from 1rst light, rich and smooth. This cigar is kind of doing the same thing? 

 

Very nice, indeed! Best lancero in the world? Hot damn that's a hot take! But I can't offer up a better one from my collection. It's also smoking free of any construction issues so far, something I cant necessarily say for all Lanceros. If I had a critique it would be to add a bit of pepper in the 1st 3rd, just to surprise my palate and let me know I'm still smoking a Non-Cuban?

I still reckon it is one of the best NC Lanceros in the world 

Fascinated to see what the 2023 N1 Lancero will do with a few years down.
