Actually got a little excited by this. Lord help me. The Rest Is History podcast... Coupled with my addiction to live Chess streams I'm really living life in the fast lane, these days.

By the by, if there ever was a case where the phrase "a good face for radio" was applicable...

I mean, it's a great podcast but I'm curious about live iterations of such... Has anyone ever been to a live podcast they're a fan of? Experience?

"Wait, Wait, don't tell me" (a public radio show/podcast) is quite enjoyable live. Not sure what this podcast is like, but yes, live can be an enjoyable format.

I've seen a few live podcasts, and they're really fun but kind of interesting. Very similar to watching standup that happens to have a Q&A basically happening throughout since there's tons of crowd interaction. There will usually be a meet and greet afterwards or before if that's your kick.

I've only ever seen comedy podcasts live, so my experience could be drastically different from someone elses, since drinks were flowing the entire time.

Could be a dangerous meet & greet with this crowd... If they confiscate knitting needles beforehand it might be safe enough. ;)

I don't think I'd ever actually have a genuine interest in attending this show live, mainly because I can't see what they'd bring to a live version that would warrant going, cost, etc... but I was for some reason excited by the idea... I think I might have been conflating the listening of this and old episodes of Harmontown. Great comedy pod. :D

Funnily enough, this is one of the pods I've seen live!

I attended a friend's live podcast. It wasn't open to the public, I just happened to be in town when she was doing her podcast and she invited me to sit in and listen. The podcast and interaction between the guests was interesting. Probably not for everyone, though.

I should mention, she is a fetish model.

Closest thing I can think of is a Pecha Kucha -- always incredible!

Here's one that provides the definition -- 20 slides x 20 seconds each -- and no peaking (this fellow seems to be seeing his slides unfortunately :) -- people from all walks of life, just giving their all for what excites them -- all over the map:)

Below is not a "best of" piece just a helpful explanation.  And you can never go wrong as each one is at longest 6 mins & 40 seconds.  Good fun!

Wow! That's very cool. Did you get to the original Meltdown venue or one of the later venues?

I saw it once at Nerdmelt and then again on tour since I wasn't an LA native. I think the first time woulda been late 2011 or early 2012
