Popular Post dominattorney Posted September 9, 2023 Popular Post Posted September 9, 2023 Gents and gentettes, I've been golfing too well for the good times to last! This poor soldier will go down with me today. We start off with a sky mark on my 2 hybrid and an unenviable lie in the drainage ditch down the right side of the first hole. Good thing the cigar is burning perfectly and giving off leather and earth flavors with lots of smoke or there would be nothing to look forward to as I shank my 9 iron into a greenside bunker. Don't worry. I got up and down. This luck would not last however.... Next hole starts out solid with a block right into the woods. My partner hits one 300 yards into the fairway but we still can't find it. The smile on my face is due to the canonazo, which fails to waiver in its optimistic outlook on the rest of the day. She stays stalwart through two double bogeys and a few lipped out putts, giving off leather, Graham cracker, and mild cocoa notes. I trek into the woods off of 9 in search of an errant drive after making an anemic par on the reachable par 5 8th hole secondary to a 335 yard drive from which I failed to convert. I almost lose her in the rescue but find the trusty plume of smoke and retrieve her. I'm welcomed back into the fold by coca and baking spice as I make a 3 putt bogey for a 43 on the front. I search in vein for my trusty companion, only to lament that my playing partner has stepped on her near the carts, snuffing the life out of her. We had a good run. The cigar and I. Nearly snapped my putter but the cigar was a solid 90+ banger. 7
