Popular Post cigaraholic Posted September 4, 2023 Popular Post Posted September 4, 2023 One of the good things about Monte 3’s was I could sometimes find them for just a few pennies more than the #4. It was the same for the Siglo III and II. I always went for the extra smoke. This cigar is very well filled. The cold draw is fine and I get a heavy earthy chocolate flavor. The wrapper shade is dark colorado, I’m happy. First puffs are earthy baking chocolate, it’s a little over medium body. Further in I get some black coffee, this Monte is on the strong side of the street. 2/3 the baking chocolate turns to cocoa powder which softens the smoke. I’ve still got some black coffee and lots of earth, body just keeps creeping up. 3/3 the cigar starts to sweeten, I’ve got bittersweet chocolate, touch of coffee and lots of earth. Body’s finished at medium-full. A nice earthy chocolate ride. The first 1/3 had me worried with its lack of sweetness, but it showed up before I hit the panic button. 6
