ROME - Need Hotel Advice (and anything else)

Hi All-  I'm in Rome for a few days some time in October or early November - galleries/museums/sight-seeing.  Been a long time since I've visited.  Couple of suggestions would be much appreciated.

1. Recommended hotels - (especially ones with balconies and cigar friendly)

2. Any other recommendations!
