JohnnyO Posted August 23, 2023 Posted August 23, 2023 The article mentions the limits for ATM's being 5000 CUP, that's about $20 US at today's exchange rates. Money's going to start flying out of the banks for fear they won't have access to it. There are just too many businesses that are cash only, even though their largest note is only $4 US. There is no CUP card for visitors. A lot of hotels/restaurants take payment in CUP and there is a big advantage to paying that way. The Paladar where I get lobster still only charges 900 CUP ($3.60 US), if you pay in USD/Euro it's at a much higher rate. John 2
