Canonazo VI Review(8/23)

These have been resting over a month now. I had 1 rott, 1 at 2 weeks and this is my second after 30 days. If I'm being honest, the one I had at 2 weeks was the best of the bunch so far...I'll get to that later.

First third starts with some honey and that gets me excited. There is some coffee and earth. Fairly light in body, around medium-light at best.

Second third builds a bit in body, still medium-light but closer to medium than light. The honey is gone, unfortunately, but is replaced with a hint of molasses sweetness. Some breadiness, earth and coffee.

Final third builds even more in body to a solid medium. Still only a hint of sweetness along the lines of molasses. Bread, nuts and leather.

I was hoping I would have an experience similar to the one 2 weeks ago. That stick was great and was probably a 94. This one tonight I give an 89. The flavors just weren't as vibrant and the sweetness faded away to the background too quickly. It was still a good smoke, obviously, an 89 is a good score but not quite what I know these can be. The one I had 2 weeks ago was a vacation stick that was sitting in temps between 75F and 85F for a week and a half which may have expedited the aging. Anyway, that's my story.
