I'd agree PE is also highly inconsistent. I finally dropped it from my regular rotation a few years ago. Edmundos have never appealed to me so I can't comment on those. 

However I think between the two Monte 2 is the more inconsistent. Maybe partly because it's been around longer but I think the variations in Monte 2 are far wider than in the PE.
