The state considers the informal exchange rate, widely tracked via the independent news outlet El Toque, as illegal, but it has been unable to shut it down. The state officially pegs the local currency at 120 pesos to the dollar, but it has few to exchange.
Fireball Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 Dang. Those poor people. The peso that low in value against the dollar WITH the high inflation the last few years. A very bad combination for the everyday person.
helix Posted August 3, 2023 Posted August 3, 2023 The hits just keep coming , very sad for the Cuban people.
