Wookie Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 Just given these as gift from friend who isn’t a cigar guy but travels a lot. He gave me a few lanceros years ago which, unbeknownst to him, were fugazeys. Do these look legit to you? thanks in advance for your insights!
MickVanWinkle Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 I’ll let someone more qualified speak to authenticity, but that ‘plume’ may take precedence in this matter. Either way, thoughtful friend. 1
Low Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 First of all, wipe off that mold and them into a separate tupperware with a boveda pack to rest out, cause with that much mold, they've been stored badly The bands look fine- head is centered (within reason), ponytail has correct amount of point, squares aren't touching the top or bottom of the band, text isn't bleeding, has holo in the gold on top and bottom, raised cohiba lettering. The only thing that is odd is the cap looks a little crusty. Should also get a UV light and check for blue colored boxes. 50 rg should have two on the far left side, possibly under where the band overlaps. Also ask your friend where he bought them, that would be a big tell. You should post this to https://www.fohcigars.com/forum/forum/3-suspect-cigar-forum/ those guys might have more info for you to use 1
NSXCIGAR Posted March 24, 2023 Posted March 24, 2023 I don't see anything that would worry me. Just wipe the mold off. It's not uncommon to find it in tubed cigars. 3
Wookie Posted March 24, 2023 Author Posted March 24, 2023 Thank you all…I forgot to mention that there is no date/factory stamp anywhere. I recall in the past that cardboard packs would have a date/code on them. But I haven’t bought 3/5 packs in 7-10 years.

Expand The codes would be on the inside of the top flap of the main cardboard box with the 5 individual 3 packs. No codes on the individual packs. Nothing to worry about. 5
