Popular Post Brewhoser44 Posted January 10, 2023 Popular Post Posted January 10, 2023 Thanks to El Prez, Diana and the FOH team, I just got this top-notch box in the mail. The looks and aroma of it were begging me to smoke one ROTT. So I said, well, the Lord hates a coward... Juan Lopez Seleccion 2 5 7/8" x 50 First Third: Right off the bat it's all hay, leather and cream. The draw and burn line are damn near perfect. Some nutty flavors picking up with a hint of orange in the background. Retrohale is nice and smooth and the strength is a light-medium. Second Third: This stick is still burning like a champ and strength picks up to a solid medium. The hay is still there but balanced with baking spices and raisins. It's like an oatmeal cookie but not too sweet, and I could retrohale that all day. Seriously, this is going way better than I expected for such a fresh stick. Final Third: Strength stays at medium. Some nice toasted tobacco mixed with chocolate cake, and that hint of orange is back. I really hope the orange picks up with some age. Hard to put this one down but it gets a little ammoniafied at the nub, which is understandable. I gotta put this one in my top 5 of the year. Just based on the shock factor for such a young cigar and ROTT. Holy hell, I can't wait to see what the rest of this box puts out over time. I just hope I don't blaze through it in a month. Might be wise to get another box. Smoking time was 1 hour 15 minutes SCORE: 92 9 2
Dr vonPuffenberg Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Excellent review. A friend of mine gave me one last year and I agree, a very enjoyable smoke. You should get that second box so you can hide the first one out of sight for a few years.

MisterCigar Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 Thank you for the review, It is very interesting how full of aromas such a fresh cigar is.
RDB Posted January 10, 2023 Posted January 10, 2023 If they are smoking great… smoke ‘em! If they go to sleep… put them away. There’s no special prize for ageing cigars. 1
