SCDLH El Principe EML ABR 15 (FSCRC)

This was my first experience with this particular vitola. I’ve had the Prado a few times and was blown away by it; been meaning to pick up a box when I next see them.

Draw is pretty much perfect, after a couple bland first draws the flavors start to come out. Leather and wood flavors are dominate but the age on these have helped mellow things out a bit. Quite enjoyable.

The general tone is still wood and leather, but the intensity is still very minimal; which for my tastes is great. Toasted tobacco creeps in to join the mix. Start to get some floral tastes a little bit but these don’t last for very long.

As the cigar nears the end the toasted tobacco with leather takes over. These become more and more pronounced as it nears the nub. 

Overall this was a very nice cigar, the age mellowed everything out quite nicely. I wouldn’t hesitate to pick up a box if it was <$200. Especially considering these would make great cold weather smokes. Whether or not they’ll ever be that cheap again 🤷‍♂️

I have a couple of these EML 15 boxes. Really good cigar. $138usd/box back then. No, you won't ever see that price again. It is doubled now. And I won't pay those onerous prices.
