Very excited to try this one, and with the DST change giving an extra hour it felt appropriate to pull out a DC. Just barely missed out on winning an auction for these back before prices really went crazy, so was really grateful to find someone willing to trade a couple for me to try.

First third: Complex blend of smooth floral cream, leather, hay, and aged tobacco notes. Creamy almond cake, with a touch of savory spices. Towards the end, there's the barest hint of a creamy white peach or cantaloupe note.

Middle third: Unfortunately I seem to hit a bit of a wet spot halfway through. The burn starts struggling, requiring quite a few touch ups with the lighter, and the flavors become quite muted. Towards the end, though, I seem to make it through the rough patch, the burn evens up again, and the creamy fruitiness returns.

Last third: The fruitiness doesn't last for long unfortunately, and the last third is a slightly more mundane smooth, sweet almond cake. Still tasty, but not quite as fun.

Overall: Pretty good, the flavors started good and reached towards excellence before the weird wet spot in the middle third. The flavors never seemed to fully recover after that. 88/100. I've only have one more, so hopefully that one surpasses this one.

Nice review. 
I too have had exactly one SLR DC and have one left. My first was a tail of the proverbial dragon though. Just a fabulous experience from start to finish. I kinda don’t want to smoke the other one just so I can still have the dream that they all taste that great. Reality is of course different. Thanks for bringing me back to reality and saving me a grand or so if by some chance a box pops up on BR in the next year or so  😂
