yadegari6 Posted October 14, 2022 Posted October 14, 2022 I was in Madrid in early September, out of the 8 or so shops I visited the only one worth visiting is Estanco Miguel Angel. They actually had the best selection out of any shop I went to throughout Spain although at the time they were only willing to sell singles. 1
ElJavi76 Posted October 15, 2022 Posted October 15, 2022 I did Madrid in September as well. The best place to find cigars, as crazy as it might sound was the airport. My little problem was that I wasn’t flying home from Madrid. I went Madrid to Paris. They had multiple boxes of BBF and boxes of Partagas Lusis x 25. The BBF prices were circa €325-335 I think but only if you were flying outside of the EU. If your flight was to another EU country the pricing changed by about €100. I didn’t do the phone calling but my friend did. We found 1 box of Diplo Privada II Spain regional at one shop but nothing else. The shop had cigarillos and the like but he said he bought the shop like a year ago and that he’d been mostly dry on the CC side. Guess the guy who sold the shop knew what was coming. Call around the shops to see what you find but don’t lose hope at the duty free. Didn’t have a large selection but had I been traveling back to the states those BBF would’ve been mine. 1
Popular Post PuroDiario Posted October 17, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 17, 2022 Club Pasión Habanos is a nice lounge. cava Magallanes usually has good inventory though have not been there personally in a very long time. cava Barquillo at La Calle Barquillo is centric and in a good day is fantastic. Has been there almost 100 years. A classic caba Félix Boix on the northern end of the Castellana is also a must. The Four Seasons and the Ritz are newly built and have nice outdoor space for cigar enjoyment. If you are up for a quick ride La Caba de Majadahonda on Calle Santa Ana in Majadahonda. Call in advance to see what they have. Same in Pozuelo, quicker ride, with La Cava de Somosaguas. if you have the quintessential day trip to Segovia to see the Roman aqueduct and have brick oven piglet at Cándido or Jake Maria, there is a small but usually good stash in a cava near by. (Trying to get creative here) I’ll think of more, have not been back in a while now. 3 2
