Popular Post shokao Posted October 8, 2022 Popular Post Posted October 8, 2022 Romeo y Julieta Short Churchills MLS 2021 (RyJRW) Setup 62% RH stored in Tupperdor at 18 C (65 F) Event Sunny friday, fine weather @ 02:40 PM. For lunch was barbecue (argentine picaña, vinaigrette and smoked pumpkin) and for dessert, baked banana with peanut butter and 85% cocoa chocolate. For pairing Sparkling Water Port Wine (Porto Cruz Reserve) In the first third, the cigar had floral aromas with plenty of black pepper, which seems to indicate that this cigar would benefit from some rest in the humidor. The burn, at first, looks perfect with a very nice draw. The end of the first third brings notes of caramel and a sweet finish, with plenty of smoke and lots of creaminess. I would say that this is a medium bodied cigar. In the second third, notes of chocolate with an interesting opening of aromas and flavors, leaving behind the herbaceous sensation of a young cigar. Black pepper goes way followed by smooth transition to a earthy pleasant aftertaste. In the middle of the second third, notes of wood and leather mingle with chocolate. It is possible to note some nuances of cloves hidden in the aroma of wood. At the end of the second third, the burn becomes a little irregular and the cigar alternates between the notes already present until the last third ends. Score 7.5 out of 10. 9 1
JohnS Posted October 9, 2022 Posted October 9, 2022 75 out of 10. Pretty exceptional, then? Or should that be 7.5? 1
