El Presidente Posted September 25, 2022 Posted September 25, 2022 Now that is a big stick "Under the proposed law or House Bill (HB) 3917, cigarette smuggling will be equated with economic sabotage and will be slapped with stiffer penalties, including making the illicit trade non-bailable. Under the proposed bill, cigarette smugglers will also face a minimum of 30 years imprisonment but not exceeding 40 years with no bail recommended." https://businessmirror.com.ph/2022/09/26/anti-tobacco-smuggling-bill-backed-by-cigarette-maker/ 2

The Govt awards prison term reductions every year on their Independence Day, or at the end of Ramadan. Even the biggest scum on the planet can be eligible if they can fake being a good boy in prison. 1
