Popular Post cigaraholic Posted July 31, 2022 Popular Post Posted July 31, 2022 Talk about timing, my first trip in 3 years and I’m trying to make up for lost time. I’ll be gone for quite some time and I always overpack, especially cigars. I wanted short, medium and big cigars, something for the morning, afternoon and when I have time to really celebrate. My morning cigar, a box of SCdH El Principe, afternoon Bolivar PC and a box of various big sticks. Plus my panic box of PLP. Luckily I picked out a fantastic box of El Principe, who doesn’t like pancakes with maple syrupy in the morning. Sitting on my friends balcony overlooking Alba having a morning cigar is about as good as it gets for me🌈 Beautiful colorado maduro wrapper, well filled and the draw is fine. Rich toasted tobacco with that maple sweetness and buttery dough. Perfect with espresso and the fresh plums a neighbor just picked.....I may never come home. I’ve been in Italy a little over a week and this is the box I’ve hit the hardest, those 4 hr lunches can get in the way of an afternoon smoke 👻 This box has quite a kick, medium full body right from the start. Ideally I would lay these down for a few more years, maybe a couple might make it home. Halfway it’s a nice dark toffee flavor, these would be delicious with dessert too. No time for an afternoon cigar, another long lunch and then a tasting in La Morra today. The balance between the rich tobacco and sweetness is perfect, very much like the Harimau Malaya Rob and Ken just reviewed. A beautiful start to another beautiful day! Sometimes I’m glad I overpack. 17
