Popular Post traveller Posted July 26, 2022 Popular Post Posted July 26, 2022 This cigar comes from when I first got into cigars before an almost decade break. I've lost my cigar cutter temporarily so I use the finger nail method, leads to a slightly tight draw, triple cap construction. 6in x 49 1/3 toasted tobacco medium flavor very constant smooth 2/3 stays pretty much the same Drinking one of my favourite drinks, Evan Williams BiB with lots of Angostura Bitters, Lime and soda water. Last 3rd ramping up in flavor and body Graham cracker, chocolate notes Earthy nuttiness creeping in towards the the half point of the last third Umami Ash comes off, a creep of bitterness edges in fades away as I purge and the ash builds Milds and smoothes out before bitterness comes back in the last inch, toss it at this point and I'm sorta bored with it In short a pretty good cigar, some of the flavour has probably left it from aging for so long. Probably an 7.5 to 8 out of 10 5
El Presidente Posted July 26, 2022 Posted July 26, 2022 Thanks for the review! I generally run a hundred miles from NC wrappers that look like that but pictures can be deceptive. "toasted tobacco, graham cracker, chocolate notes" Such a common profile in NC. When done well it is a fantastic profile. It is hard to find them consistently done well.

Usually wouldn't be quite the wrapper for me Prez, but I'm trying to smoke through most of my old stock before I starting dipping into more of the new stuff and yes it actually looked that black, Its a Ecuadorian Sumatra Capa Oscuro wrapper, not quite sure what that means but there you go.
