Popular Post Cigar-Therapy Posted July 17, 2022 Popular Post Posted July 17, 2022 (edited) This is one I have heard much about… both hype and controversy. Whether it’s Steve Saka’a blending prowess or the alleged sweetened tip. I’m taste testing for future sticks to bring to a cigar club I run - on light up - I definitely get the sweetness on the lips. I would say it is sweetened- but at least it goes away somewhat quickly. The notes of cream, graham cracker, toasted bread, and light white pepper. Very mild, but not simple. There is an interplay that someone with a more adept palate could distinguish. Very enjoyable to me. Other than some flavors changing in intensity- there are really no transitions. Which is definitely fine with me 92/100 - paired with an 18 Year Glenlivet, but think it would go great with a flat white. Edited July 17, 2022 by Cigar-Therapy Misspelled Saka 9
yadegari6 Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 Tried one of these last week, agree 100% with your tasting notes. They are very enjoyable but lack of complexity/evolution will hold these back from being a great cigar. The tip is most definitely sweetened
JLH Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 Thanks for the write up. It his been awhile since I have smoked one of these but IIRC I have a few in the humidor. I like the Bruelee but the real gem is the Brulee Blue. A much better smoke. Jason 3
wine65 Posted July 18, 2022 Posted July 18, 2022 Nice review. I’m with you Jason the brûlée is nice but the brûlée blue I find more interesting. Tip is sweetened without a doubt. In all a nice milder offering from a producer known for stronger blends. 2
