This was interesting: What is the actual proposed extent of "Track and trace" for Premium cigars?

 

When asked about the forthcoming Track&Trace obligation for premium cigars, Beat Hauenstein said that this regulation alone will cause additional costs in the millions for the Oettinger Davidoff company. In his opinion, these over-regulations are likely to increase the complexity of business processes and thus the costs for manufacturers, sales and retail, and thus reduce the attractiveness of the tobacco business for all market participants.

So when your competitor (I.e. Habanos S.A) is struggling to make a meaningful supply to the market, make sure to step in and fill the gap? Oh well, it makes sense. "What comes around, goes around' as they say. (Of course, I'm alluding to the spectacular breaking down of the business relationship between Tabacuba and Davidoff in the late 1980s/early 1990s.)

Has anyone tried the relaunched Zino brand?  I liked the Mouton Cadet's of the early 90's and then they fell off in quality or my tastes changed.
