Illusione Epernay Le Grande NCRW

6X46 Nicaraguan puro rolled in Honduras. 

Aroma at cold reminds me of a deep fruity chewing tobacco smell. 

 

Opens sourdough, sweetness, light spice, with occasional floral and honeysuckle notes. The cigar continues in this fashion through the first half. 

 

By the second half the profile changes to woody, dark coffee/espresso, and remains this way till the end. 

 

While the second half definitely experienced flavor die off, it certainly remained smokeable and enjoyable. The first half was stellar and had me thinking of Partagas and ERDM.

 

I look forward to seeing how this box evolves with time.
