I've been lucky with my Imperiales (2 * 2008 boxes).  I love the ERDM Tainos.  Had half a box from 2001 and a still unopened box from 2005.  The first 2 LGC Tainos I smoked were horrid.

With the Imperiales I'm talking about the last few years (2013-2015). Beyond that Imperiales were often quite good. The LGC and ERDM Tainos were very hit and miss in the early-mid-2000s but got into a serious rut towards the end.

I guess I was the only one that had good LGC Tainos. I guess they were from 1998-2000s, so that may have made a difference.

Yes, being late 90s-2000 could make a huge difference. That era had its own share of issues but many of these cigars were still excellent. I recall both the LGC and ERDM Tainos being very good in those days. After 2001 not so much.
