Popular Post Mhansen85 Posted February 16, 2022 Popular Post Posted February 16, 2022 The last one i had was just spectacular. This one looks more rugged, its actually almost ugly Pairing is Taylors 20YO tawny port Lightup is very good. Gamey right from the getgo. Musky, saddle leather, barnyard, oak. Spicy cinnamon and pepper on retro I only had it for a few weeks. It seems very spongy and the the burn is a bit difficult 1/3 There is a slight bitter note that comes for a few minutes and then luckily fades Again. Fruitcake, and all the above musky and leathery notes settle on the palate. 2/3 nuts enter the Picture. Still leathery and gamey. Slight bitter cardboard note on the finish is back again 3 /3 flavors are more simple now. spice and leather and the cardboard note is there again My baseline for a 5 year’ish BRC is 92 points. That is my expectation. This one falls short of that at 89 points. It is the right profile but the flavor intensity was not as high as i wanted, and at times there was a bit of a bitter aftertaste 8
KCCubano Posted February 16, 2022 Posted February 16, 2022 Used to buy and enjoy the BRC Tubos years ago! Nice review. Thx! 1
