Popular Post bishop532
Had a nice relaxing day today and decided to cap it off with a BBF. This thing looks promising - slightly oily wrapper, nice dark color, and it has just the right amount of give. The smell from the foot is earthy milk chocolate. I poured myself an eggnog (plain, no alcohol) and headed outside. From the start I was tasting apricot and cocoa. Earthiness on the retrohale. BBF rarely lets me down, and even this young it has a lot of great flavors. As the second third started, I felt like the apricot was changing a bit - maybe closer to apple? Really interesting flavor, can’t wait to see what this box is like after a year or two. Still tasting the cocoa, but it’s light now. There’s cedar and earth mixing in too. Strength is starting to ramp up a bit. Construction is perfect. Plenty of smoke, and the ash held on for a good inch and a half. The final third shifted things completely in a different direction quite suddenly; a side effect of youth I guess. The cigar became spicy and deliciously creamy. The eggnog was an interesting pairing, with the sweet and spicy flavors contrasting nicely. The BBF is definitely a keeper, and I see it getting better with time. I had no problem sitting out in the cold for an hour and a half with this cigar keeping me company. Total Smoking Time: 1 hour 26 minutes Score: 93/100
