Ash

I'm amazed at the lengthy ash shown by many users in their smoking pictures.

I'm a total klutz so maybe this isn't surprising, but do you just handle the cigar _really gently_ in order to get ashes in the 3-4 inch+ range?

I know often it has to do with the construction, age, RH of the cigar. But that can't be everything!

Just have to stick a paper clip or long needle down the cigar! 🙃

I’ve managed to get 4 inches of ash on NC cigars (notably Fuente) but never more than 2 inches on a CC. No idea why but it’s a new personal mission

Trinidad seems to give me the longest ash. Every Coloniales I get to half before they'll break. Well, I could get to that, and have. Long ash makes me anxious.

I've only got the Esmerelda's and Topes' and not noticed the long ash yet - you've convinced me to try one this evening and test it out
