Popular Post Bigpink Posted October 16, 2021 Popular Post Posted October 16, 2021 Friday morning, 4:45 AM. The cats are playing Battle Royale outside of my bedroom. I slip out of bed, give them some breakfast, then hop in my car and go just about a mile down the street to Yum Yum Donuts for a coffee. Back home with coffee in hand I go to my dry box, where I've got a fantastic looking Media Luna waiting for me. Early morning is my favorite time of the day, and my favorite time to have a smoke. I like to start and end the work week with gusto and a nice cigar. The wrapper is darker brown with a matte sheen. Cold aroma is barnyard, and the cold draw tastes like sweet tobacco. One of my dogs has now gotten out of bed and joins me. We take it to the backyard and light it up. FIRST: Immediately after lighting, the burn line evens out and is razor sharp. The first third gives me lots of spice, stone fruit, marshmallow and graham cracker. It’s pumping out smoke. This cigar has my absolute favorite aroma when lit-- it's heavy on the barnyard with a sweet donut/marshmallow scent. SECOND: The spice fades out and turns into a more intense marshmallow and cream flavor. The Trinidad DNA amplifies here as well-- it always makes me think of graham crackers and ginger snaps. Smoke and strength picks up. Towards the end it gets a little overheated and bitter. I pull back a touch and the bitterness dissipates. THIRD: The spice is back, but the dominant notes here are marshmallow and cream. The ash finally falls off. It takes me about an hour to finish. I’d rate it around a 91. I love this smoke and highly recommend if you haven't tried it. 12
